Organic Michigan Pear Preserves

Organic Michigan Pear Preserves

9.5 oz. | $7.15

Every September Leelanau Country organic farmer Gene Garthe drops of a 600-pound box of fresh-picked Bosc pears. It’s all they have and we cherish them like precious gems. We hand peel, dice and all go into this very unique old world preserve. They don’t always last until the next harvest so you may want to buy this one by the case.

The farm of Gene and Kathy Garthe is fourth-generation and in its history once ran an on-farm restaurant for 30 years that served food grown only on the farm. As Gene said, “All food was local back then.” They also grow the Swiss Gourmet Apples in our Apple Preserves.
